Wisconsin Dairy Farmers' Perspectives on Water Qualtity and Labor Policies
This is a collaboration project with Ana Fochesatto, a Ph.D. candidate in the Environment and Resources Program at the Nelson Institute and a research assistant in Dr. Adena Rissman's Lab working on the Grassland 2.0 project, on a Wisconsin Dairy Farmer survey. In this project, I am assisting with statistical analysis and regression modeling.
Research Questions: (1) How do farmer identities (environmentalist, good employer, productivist, civic-minded) correlate with support for environmental and labor policies (regulations and incentives)? (2) How do farmer attitudes towards government and cultural worldviews correlate with support for environmental and labor policies?
Methods: Wisconsin dairy farmer survey in 2023. Statistical analysis, factor analysis, and regression models were employed.
